Immigrant Visa (IV) Payment Status "PAID"

June 4- After exactly 3 business days from the time I paid the IV Processing fee the status shows "PAID" which I never thought it would cleared that fast. So I followed the instruction at the online payment center and printed the IV Document Cover Sheet which will be included with the completed DS-230 from my mom and all supporting documents. I have all the documents ready but have to wait till Monday to mail them since today is Saturday.

    I am glad to see how eager you are about your mother. May I give out some tips about the DS230? In our experience we answered the question in number 30. which is page 2 of DS230 Part1 Biographic data. This is the Police certificate requirements and after a 4 weeks we received an email that part of it is missing, meaning, all of the places and dates you indicate there shall have a corresponding police clearance indicating the date she lived in that city since she was 16 yrs. old. So in our case we had to go to Pasig, Paranaque and Quezon City, and got a certificate stating the dates, therefor the process was delayed.

    Thank you for taking your time to read my blog. As for # 30 of DS-230, my mom only write down one place/city she lived since she was 16. I hope we don't get an RFE for that.

    A lot of MNL cases overlooked this part. As long as she got the Police Clearance from the city where she lived since she was 16 including a Certification indicating the date (ex. Feb, 1973 - Present) everything is good. Btw, the NBI cert. is included note that All Originals incl. photocopy. May I ask about her Medical Exam? Is it possible to get it before the interview notice arrives? In our case, are we suppose to wait for the appointment letter / Instruction letter, coz we haven't received one yet. Thanks

    My Mom is having her medical exam on the 15th of this month. She does not have an interview appointment yet since the case is still at the NVC.
    As long as you have the approval noticed, the letter with the MNL # from NVC which the NVC sent me, 4 (2x2) photograph, and the medical fee, it should be fine.
