I needed to have to get a State ID for identification so I don't have to show my Green Card every time they ask me for identification.
We went to the Secretary of State's Office with all my supporting documents. Plus, I brought with me proofs of Michigan residency, like mail addressed to my name. I was glad my cousin in the Philippines sent me Christmas card so that helped. Also the letter from the bank when my husband added me on his bank account. So they accepted all of those proofs with no problems. They charged me about $20(forgot exact amount) for the ID card fee. After that I had my photographed taken then we went home.
Two weeks after, I got my State ID.
